Yum, Tearty, Brazil Cacao Shake! (rich in selenium)

Hi Tearty!

I recently listened to a good David Wolfe podcast on how to protect yourself from radiation. You can click here to check it out.

Two of the foods David recommends eating are Brazil nuts (for selenium) and coconut butter (i.e. coconut oil blended with coconut meat). To help you integrate these into your daily diet, here's a yummy shake that includes both.

By the way, two companies that produce coconut butter are Nutiva and Artisana. "Cacao" is raw cocoa. Xylitol is a low glycemic sweetener. You can find all of these ingredients at Amazon, Whole Foods, and most other health food stores.

Brazil Cacao Shake
_____________________

4 tsp cacao nibs or cacao powder
4 tsp xylitol or your favorite sweetener
5 brazil nuts
1 tsp coconut butter
1-1/2 cups of your favorite "milk" (soy, almond, rice, etc)

Blend all ingredients until creamy smooth. If you substitute a different sweetener for Xylitol, start with less than 4 tsp, taste the shake, and then add more sweetener as needed. Xylitol is less sweet than conventional sugar.
